Sometimes ballet class is over. But the thoughts stay with you.

Ballet Reset helps you sort out your thoughts and see more clearly again what really happened.

Sound familiar?

  • A correction you can’t stop thinking about.
  • The feeling that everyone else is getting better than you.
  • A class where nothing seems to go right.
  • Or that one moment when you wonder whether you’re even good enough.

Maybe you’re still thinking about it in the evening. Maybe you’re disappointed in yourself and don’t even really know why something is on your mind so much. And sometimes you don’t want to talk to anyone about it.

I created Ballet Reset for exactly these moments.

How Ballet Reset works

Here, you won’t be judged all over again.

You don’t have to find the perfect words.

You tell Ballet Reset what’s on your mind. The app helps you tell the difference between what actually happened and what you conclude about yourself from it. That way, you can see the situation more clearly and find a next focus for yourself.

Ballet Reset is an AI-supported app that I developed from my many years of experience as a ballet teacher. The answers are created by AI, based on my teaching approach.

  1. Share what happened.

Write down what happened and what’s bothering you most about it.

  2. Get your Reality Check.

Ballet Reset helps you tell the difference between what happened and your thoughts about it.

  3. Find your next focus.

You get a next step and a personal thought under “For you”.

If something is still on your mind afterwards, you can keep writing up to three more times.

An example from the app

This is what a Reality Check can look like.

The situation

A ballet student gets hardly any corrections in class, while almost everyone else is being corrected.

She wonders whether her teacher has given up on her and whether she isn’t good enough.

Example of an AI-generated answer from Ballet Reset

View a Reality Check
Reality Check

When almost everyone around you gets a correction and it stays quiet for you, that hurts. You stand there and wonder why. I can understand that you end up thinking you’ve been given up on and aren’t good enough. That’s a heavy thought, and it’s allowed to be there for now.

[…]

I can’t know what’s going on in your teacher’s mind, and neither can you, from this one class. The only thing that’s certain is what happened: in this class, you got few corrections. That this means you’re not good enough is the meaning you’re giving it. A single class can’t carry that meaning.

Your next focus

Choose a correction you already know, and make it your own focus in the next class, regardless of whether anyone says anything about it.

[…]

That way, your work in the studio doesn’t depend on how many corrections you get. You can keep working on yourself even when it stays quiet.

For you

A class with few corrections is still just one class. It says nothing about your worth or your path.

From a test with an invented class situation. Shortened excerpts from the AI-generated answer, translated from German.

Sometimes it already helps to look at your own thoughts with a little distance.

But you also don’t have to take everything you think about yourself in a disappointing moment as the truth.

“And I still absolutely love the ‘For You’ section. It is such a precious and warm message, filled with your kindness, and something that I truly want to keep in my heart.”

About me – Doreen Windolf

Behind every performance is a young person.

I know the demands of classical ballet from my own career as a dancer with the Staatsballett Berlin and from my many years of work as a ballet teacher in professional training.

I’m convinced that the highest artistic standards and protecting physical and mental health belong inseparably together.

I want to support young dancers in finding their own path, growing through challenges and dealing with the high demands of ballet, without losing trust in themselves.

I developed Ballet Reset out of this conviction.

More about me and my approach

I know how much discipline, perseverance and dedication this path demands.

Because a pirouette, a correction or a competition shouldn’t define who you are as an artist or as a person.

For parents and guardians

High goals and a healthy relationship with oneself are not mutually exclusive.

Sometimes your child brings home more from ballet class than you might realize.

A correction, a comparison with others or the feeling of not having been good enough. What seems like a small moment in the ballet studio can stay with your child for a long time. Sometimes it leads to doubts about their own abilities, or even about themselves.

Ballet Reset is an AI-supported app that I developed based on my many years of experience in professional ballet training. I defined the teaching approach and the structure of the answers. The AI helps your child make sense of a difficult situation, understand their own thoughts better and find a next focus.

More information for parents

As a mother, I know how much you want to be able to accompany and support your child on their path. And from my many years of work in professional ballet training, I know how much children and young people sometimes keep to themselves.

They don’t always want to talk about it. And we don’t always know what’s on their mind.

There isn’t always someone around they can share their thoughts with. Ballet Reset gives them the chance to look at exactly these situations on their own.

The AI-generated answers follow a structure I defined, which helps young ballet students tell the difference between what actually happened and their own interpretation. Your child receives an individual perspective on the situation, a concrete next focus and a personal closing thought.

I want young people to be able to cope with the high demands of their ballet training without losing trust in their own abilities, or in themselves, because of individual difficult experiences.

Ballet Reset doesn’t replace personal support from parents, teachers or other people they trust. It’s an additional way to sort out thoughts when a conversation isn’t possible right then.

  • Privacy

Your child can use Ballet Reset with a personal access code, without creating a user account or giving their name.

To create the individual answer, what your child writes is sent to the AI service Claude by Anthropic. Ballet Reset does not store these texts. The AI provider usually deletes them after 30 days.

You’ll find more information in the privacy policy (currently in German).

  • Age and purchase

Ballet Reset is intended for ballet students aged 14 and over.

Users under 16 need the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Because Ballet Reset processes personal thoughts with the help of AI, it’s important to me that parents are informed about how it works and how data is processed.

The purchase is made by an adult through Digistore24. After the purchase, a personal access code is sent by email.

You’ll find more about AI, privacy and safety in the questions below.

Questions

What if I’m feeling really bad?

Ballet Reset is designed to also watch for possible warning signs.

If the AI recognizes signs of a serious crisis, a new injury or one that hasn’t been checked yet, or another situation in which you need support, you’ll get a help page instead of a normal Reality Check, with information about suitable places to turn to and emergency numbers.

However, an AI can also make mistakes or miss important warning signs. That’s why Ballet Reset doesn’t replace medical or psychological help, or a personal conversation with someone you trust.

If you need help, please don’t wait for an answer from the app.

Who writes the answers?

Ballet Reset is AI-supported. The answers follow the teaching approach Doreen developed from her experience in ballet training. They are not written personally by Doreen, and Ballet Reset is not personal support from her. An AI can also misjudge a situation.

Is Ballet Reset therapy?

No. Ballet Reset is not therapy and not medical or psychological treatment. It also doesn’t replace the people you trust.

Is Ballet Reset an open chat?

No. Each Reality Check focuses on one specific situation. After your Reality Check, you can respond to the answer up to three times and explore your thoughts further. Up to five Reality Checks are possible within 24 hours.

How does access work?

After the purchase through Digistore24, your access code arrives by email. The 3 calendar months begin when you enter it in Ballet Reset for the first time.

What happens to my information?

You don’t need an account or your name. So that you get an answer, your text is sent to an AI service (Claude by Anthropic). Ballet Reset doesn’t store it; the AI provider usually deletes it after 30 days. That’s why it’s best not to write the names of other people or schools. You’ll find all the details in the privacy policy (currently in German).

A difficult moment says nothing about how much you’re worth.

And yet sometimes it feels exactly like that.
